Reyes Engineering Receives Four National Awards


We are proud to announce that Flaviano Reyes and Daren Vandeberg have recently received 2014 Illumination Awards of Merit from the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). The IES aims to create a leading lighting community devoted to promoting the art and science of quality lighting. In order to recognize those who apply their mission, the IES gives out an award of merit to those who display “professionalism, ingenuity, and originality” in lighting design. Mr. Reyes received the Lighting Control Innovation Award and the Edwin F. Guth Memorial Award for work on Sandy Public Library. Mr. Reyes has also been awarded the Edwin F. Guth Memorial Award for interior lighting on the City of Gresham’s Wastewater Treatment Plant.  Mr. Vandeberg received the Outdoor Lighting Design Award and the Energy and Environmental Design Award for his work on Cherriots, the Salem-Keizer Transit system. These awards are a testament to Reyes Engineering’s incorporation of advanced energy-saving strategies and artistic application of lighting.
