The Hood River County Transit District operates Columbia Area Transit. The service consists primarily of individually-scheduled, dial-a-ride trips augmented with infrequent fixed-route service to outlying areas (The Dalles and Portland). The existing fleet is comprised of eight cut-away style vans with plans to grow to twelve. A partnership with Greyhound provides passenger and freight service connections on that carrier’s national routes. The District has purchased parcel 3 in the Wasco Business Park in the City of Hood River and plans to develop the site with the following general program elements:

A roughly 4,000 square foot building that houses administration, operations and customer service functions as well as a 2-bay, light vehicle maintenance facility. Covered, secured parking for the entire fleet. Parking for customers and employees, landscaping and fencing.

Reyes provided photovoltaic BIPV building integrated photovoltaic system, Amorphous PV material was used.
